Our journey started at home, driven by a parent's deep search for something better.

From Science to Sanctuary

Before founding Rainbow Montessori, my world was grounded in biological science and research. With a background rooted in analytical thinking, observation, and empirical truth, I understood how crucial the early years of human development truly are.

​

When my oldest daughter arrived to our family, I immersed myself in educational research, reading everything I could find on early childhood development. I knew instinctively what young minds needed: a calm, intentional, rich environment that honors a child's capacity for deep concentration and self-directed learning. Montessori education was the answer to my research.

 

The Turning Point

 

The frustration began when I looked for a local school in San Gabriel Valley areas that truly lived up to those standards. Time and again, I found programs that called themselves "Montessori" on a sign, but in practice, they operated like traditional, chaotic daycares with a few wooden toys scattered about with no true child-led learning in a so-called Montessori work cycle. I couldn't find a single school that preserved the authentic, pure methodology required to truly let children thrive.

So, I decided to build it myself.

A Commitment to the Purest Practice

 

I knew that to build a school of true excellence. I left my job in the medical research lab, to dedicate 3 entire years of my life to completing Child Development courses, California Teacher Credentialing and rigorous, intensive Montessori training through UC Irvine. There, under the mentorship of veteran Montessorians who had spent decades perfecting their art, I learned to uphold the purest, most authentic practices of the method.

I combined my scientific respect for how children naturally learn with the timeless wisdom of authentic Montessori philosophy.

Why We Are Different

Today, Rainbow Montessori is the realization of that vision just in time for my oldest daughter to join the primary program with specialized curriculum for children 2.5 - 6 year old. We are deliberately boutique, capped at just a small circle of children to preserve a peaceful, beautiful sanctuary where your child will never get lost in a crowd. The classroom is intentionally small for high level of attention, individual support and sentimental attunement to each child.

We don't offer generic childcare; we offer an uncompromising, intentional foundation designed to foster independence, confidence, responsibility, deep focus, and a lifelong love of learning. Our family built this school because our daughters' need for something better to optimize their early years, and now, it is my greatest privilege to offer that exact standard to your family.
